There was a DDoS attack on the us-east-1 region of our API provider starting at 17:57 UTC. It was mitigated successfully within 30 minutes. During that time, front-end API calls may have timed out or returned errors. This may have caused certain operations in the web application to fail. Users can retry these operations now and they should succeed.
In addition, 5 event handlers related to payment processing and notifications failed since they could not make API calls. These were re-issued manually and executed successfully.
